Kyra minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. Her most well-known role is her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The seventh season of the series was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) The Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has said she attends Passover seders.
